Education's Worth

My mom used to say, "Study! Study! Study!". These are the three words that I often hear from her. At first I thought that education is just going to school, doing your homework, and of course, collecting your whole week allowance but I was wrong. I never realized that education is the one responsible upon my whole life's journey. That it will be my very weapon in mending my future.

Education is the rock that every man is standing on. Without it, there is no way for you to achieve a prosperous life in the future. It is not only about having a good job or an intelligent mind, but also teaches people how to be humane. Nowadays, it is important to acquire good education. This will help you to reach your dreams and of course, make you a better and more useful person. Unfortunately, there are some who do not know education's worth. They do not know that it is the only thing that they can be proud of and only thing that cannot be stolen from them and even though they know these things, they still end up wasting their parents' money enrolling them in a good school.

Good education constitutes an intelligent person. Not only intelligent in terms of scholastic knowledge but also in his way of making the best decisions in life. Decision-making can be very hard to do but with the help of education, one can be able to avoid mistakes and prepare for unexpected worst case scenarios. Education is more valuable than any treasure in the world because unlike money, it will never pass off. It will be with you until the day you die and no one can take this away from you.

Knowing its importance, there are some parents who prepare for their child's education even at a very early age. Some get educational plans so that there would no longer be anymore problems when their child enters school. Some parents even get an insurance to be assured of their child's education. Education insures a productive future and it is a constant fact that anyone who receives suitable education and uses it properly will be a successful person. It also helps him to be more confident and to have a positive outlook in life. Education directs people to be self-reliant and makes them believe that they can handle every problem that comes their way.

Above all, education can never be replaced by material things. It opens the minds of man to distinguish what is right from wrong. It's basic purpose is to acquire knowledge, impart the forms of good conduct and achieve technical competency. Education acts as the instrument in developing an individual physically, mentally and socially.
